Fitness Assessment
When you book personal training, our initial session will be a fitness assessment. This allows us to find out what your training needs are - even those you didn't know about. For example, if your posture is incorrect while running, we'll need to work on that so that you can remain injury-free during your training. It also allows us to set specific goals for you, such as exactly how much weight you want to lose, or what percentage of body fat you'd like at the end of your training programme.
Your fitness assessment will contain most, if not all, of the following checks:
- Postural analysis in sitting and standing position
- Body water/fat analysis (by body part)
- Bone mass
- Metabolic age/bazal metabolism
- Blood pressure measurements
- Cardiovascular/aerobic/anaerobic testing
- Waist and hip ratio
- Resting heart rate and calculating a target heart rate dependant on the training
- Flexibility testing
- Muscle strength and endurance
- Body measurements and skin-fold testing
- Nutrition intake analysis
The results of these tests will be made available to you and will be used to create your individual, goal-orientated personal programme covering the next 4 to 8 weeks (as agreed with your trainer). At the end of your programme, we'll repeat the fitness assessment and see how far you've got towards your goals. |

Fitness assessment is included in a package of 12 sessions

- Boot-camp training

- Skipping/Running/Hiking sessions
- Dynamic and PNF stretching
Fitness assessments for the group can be provided on request, as can tailored training programs.
